Chapter JDEAS: Get-Together in Santiago de Compostela

Three of our Joint Degree in English and American Studies Alumni, Eva Bauer (Graz/Paris), Lara Brändle (Bamberg/New York) and Leonie Unkel (Bamberg/Krakow), met at the European Society for the Study of English (ESSE) Conference, held at the University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain, from 31 August to 4 September, 2026. Our alumni, living currently all over Europe, came together to share their current experiences, talk about their ongoing PhD projects  and reminiscing about their time in the Joint Degree. Meetings like these show the strong connections our alumni are building during their studies and beyond.
