The Inter.Reading Book Club starts into its 2nd semester, and we hereby want to invite you to join our group of passionate readers!
The book club is student-driven and based at the University of Graz, welcoming people of all ages, from all disciplines and professions. That is why we called it `Inter´.Reading Book Club: Inter.Generational, Inter.Disciplinary, Inter.National. In that, we meet every other week to discuss a book we read on a certain topic. Meetings take place online for our international members, and in-person in Graz (as soon as COVID-19 allows us to again).
Our book club offers 3 branches from which you can chose, or you simply join all of them, which we make possible by arranging the session dates in that manner:
- The Inter.Reading Book Club reads fictional texts on one specific topic (this term it is Native American Literature) in English, and shares book/movie/podcast recommendations on the topic so that you yourself can decide how deep you want to dive into the matter. Additionally, we organize events such as watchparties, panel discussions and readings you can join.
- The Inter.Reading Book Club Reads Non-Fiction: reads non-fictional texts in English, this term we will read `Caste´ by Isabel Wilkerson.
- The Inter.Reading Book Club Leyendo Latinoamérica: reads novels by Latinamérican authors in Spanish. Is organized in cooperation with the Wellesley College (USA) and Universidad Pedagogica Nacional Francisco Morazan (Honduras).
Join our Kick-Off Event on March 2nd, 5 PM, where we share all the info you need in order to decide if you want to join us, and where you can ask all your questions.
