Chapter NYC: Alumni Event

The first in-person UNI Graz Alumni-Chapter New York City alumni event of 2023, (as well as the first in-person event since the worldwide pandemic began in 2020) took place on April 6, 2023 at The Graduate Center at City University of New York on Fifth Avenue, across from the Empire State Building.  

Emily Vieyra-Haley, Catherine Vieyra (Chapter NYC) and Jonathan Odden (Chapter GUSEGG) arranged and coordinated the meeting, which was an informal and fun "getting to know you" of the group with many new faces.  It was met with a lot of enthusiasm, and several ideas for future meet-ups for Stammtische were discussed. A few suggestions included: a trip to the Metropolitan Opera, talks by various alumni about their field of study, excursions to several NYC museums, and of course it is always popular to have a food pairing with an event!
