On Friday, December 6, alumni and students of the Joint Degree English & American Program met for a joint tour of the Graz Opera House. Organized by Nancy Campbell, the one-hour tour gave them the opportunity to get to know areas that are normally hidden from guests attending a performance. There were also lots of fascinating historical facts, interesting information about the opera's operations and one or two tricks from the costume designers. The participants were able to observe the lively reconstruction on stage, were able to marvel at the impressive and diverse technology on the 3rd floor and learned about the orientation markings for artists below the stage.
All participants were impressed by the large number of people who are not visibly involved in a production and are already looking forward to their next visit to the opera.
