Emina Hasović (BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA Chapter)
"For me, alumni UNI graz is a bridge to Graz: the connection to colleagues and professors from whom I have learned a lot and would like to learn a lot more in the future," says Emina Hasović. The lawyer studied law in Graz and returned to Sarajevo after finishing her studies (2010). "Stays abroad and getting to know new cultures are very important for me. However, home is home! It is natural for me to return here again and again. Sarajevo is my hometown and the city where my family is."
Emina Hasović has helped build the BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA chapter from the beginning after returning to Sarajevo. "Graz University is my alma mater - it is the institution that gave me the basic legal education and shaped my way of thinking with legal principles and tenets forever. I am very grateful to it for that. Here in Sarajevo, with my contribution to the worldwide alumni network of the University of Graz, I can now support those who return to their home country after graduation and those who come here from Austria to build a new (professional) life."
This makes her an important point of contact who not only helps with networking, but also has a lot of knowledge about everyday life and work culture: "Working in Sarajevo allows a healthy balance between work and private life and is very much characterized by interpersonal relationships," she says.
Relationships that may have been established during her studies. The lawyer says, "All students should enjoy their time at the University of Graz and appreciate their fellow students, because these friendships last a lifetime."
My travel tip
"The meeting of cultures and religions characterizes this city, that's why my insider tip is the Kamarija Point of View, from which the whole city can be seen. Visitors:inside can see different Orthodox and Catholic churches, mosques and synagogues close together, as well as trace the Bosnian-Herzegovinian history through architecture from different eras, including the Austro-Hungarian monarchy."
