The ÖAG’s Austro-American Fest was geared toward celebrating, rejuvenating, and expanding the Austro-American community in Styria.
Our gathering took place at Hotel Weitzer on Sunday, May 22 (5 pm).
Following a welcome aperitif, our fest featured a multi-course, buffet-style meal which is designed to cater to a broad palate and dietary considerations.
- Starters will feature smoked salmon con a honey-mustard sauce, tomato ragout con mozzarella, a variety of cured ham with Styrian pumpkin, and an All-Styrian cream of pumpkin soup.
- The main courses are comprised of sautéed salmon trout filets, spinach-feta-cheese strudel, and deep-fried chicken.
- The range of deserts will include mousse au chocolat noir, orange-flavored panna cotta, and poppy seed-mango tarts.
A glass of either red or white wine is also included in the meal (beyond that all participants are asked to pay for their own drinks).
Musical entertainment was provided by Dom Welsh and the Jackson Jailbreakers.
